Workshop: Feminism in Latin America

The travelling workshop was first hosted in the Iwalewahaus on the 8th of March, in commemoration of International Women’s day. Our objective for the workshop is to discuss how women and marginalized genders are faced with objectification, harassment, sexual violence, unpaid care work, and other forms of discrimination in their everyday lives in Latin America.
This focus presents an intersectional approach that will create an open space for dialogue between participants of different backgrounds. The workshop will involve group activities as well as short presentations and the collective viewing and discussion of short-films and movies related to Feminism in Latin America. At the end we will have time for reflection and open conversation between the participants.
